Meet BRANDED Collective: Jewelry Empowering Survivors

Gifts That Give BackBRANDED Collective is a social enterprise near and dear to my heart. When I was living in Nashville, I had the opportunity to volunteer at BRANDED Collective events and help spread their mission. I've seen first hand how founders, Lauren & Emily, are centered around creating a community and educating consumers about trafficking. Their work is incredible and the jewelry is stunning!

BRANDED Collective works with survivors of human trafficking through their partnership with End Slavery Tennessee. This socially minded jewelry company is able to provide job training and dignified employment opportunities to women survivors focused on re-entering the work force. Survivors are able to make a livable wage, learn a new skill, and be surrounded by a supportive community of women.

BRANDED Collective jewelry is unique in a few ways! Each Shop Ethical Jewelrypiece is stamped with a unique number that represents the customers position in the collective fighting against human trafficking. Each piece is also stamped with the initials of the survivor who made the jewelry. Customers are able to go on BRANDED Collective's website, register the number, send a message of hope to the survivors, and read about the lady who crafted their jewelry. I love how this aspect of BRANDED Collective really focuses on connecting the consumers to the stories of the makers.

So why BRANDED?

Shop Ethically Made JewelryI think BRANDED Collective explains it best! "Many victims of human trafficking are BRANDED; their captors physically mark them with a number or symbol. The BRANDED Collective stands against this brutal practice."

BRANDED Collective jewelry is a great conversation starter! It's eye catching minimalistic style is sure to go with all your outfits and when your friends compliment you, you can share the BRANDED Collective mission. Educating people about human trafficking is really important, there are a lot of people unaware that trafficking happens right here in America, in their own states and neighborhoods. By sharing the BRANDED Collective story through your jewelry, you are encouraging people to learn and spreading the word to end trafficking! Together we can make a difference!
