PSA for Retailers & Buyers: Purchasing Inventory Should Be Easy
Y'all. Let me tell you. The struggle of purchasing inventory is SO real. It is so much harder than it needs to be. I purchase inventory for Give a Damn Goods and it is such a process going to different brands, trying to meet so many order minimums, and dealing with multiple sales reps. Ordering inventory should be simple. It should be like online shopping. Find the products you want, add them to your cart, head to check out to pay the brand, and receive your inventory in a timely manner. Unfortunately, a lot of smaller brands don't have a online wholesale platform due to limited resources, which makes the inventory ordering process a lot of e-mails back and forth between retailers/buyers and the brand. And don't even get my started on the line sheets. Personally, I think filling out line sheets for each individual brand is time consuming and I don't enjoy sitting down to do it.
